Remote, private yet accessible, Cliffhanger is an exquisite oceanfront estate located north of Gold Beach on the beautiful Southern Oregon coast. Situated on over three acres and with ocean frontage, this custom designed getaway is set on a promontory with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. A lantern-lit driveway leads to lushly landscaped grounds surrounding the Cliffhanger compound. The two story garage has an upstairs office and work space presently used as a metal crafting studio.
A gentle walkway cuts through a high bed of clover banked with metal walls and leads to the guest quarters. The two bedrooms and full bathroom are across from a small conservatory with stone flooring from an 18th century chateau in the Loire Valley. From the guest house an incline elevator gently glides down a slope to the main house. Constructed mainly of Port Orford cedar with reclaimed elements from 18th and 19th century homes, the two bedroom, two and a half bath main house has an open floor plan with approximately 2,500 square feet of space. The living area, with its 14.5 foot wall of windows, has a 180 degree view of the Pacific Ocean. A grand wood burning fireplace is set with an antique limestone mantel. The kitchen’s simple design incorporates stone and wood with Miele and Wolfe appliances. Also on the main level is a half bath, the guest suite with full bath and a large cedar deck with hot tub. Stairs wind down from the deck to the beach.
The second level is the open master suite with gas burning fireplace. The master bath has a large walk-in shower, a Japanese soaking tub, Italian fixtures, Brazilian slate and floor to ceiling glass walls overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Cliffhanger is an oceanfront getaway from the world, a place to lose yourself in the spectacular wilderness of the remote Southern Oregon coast.
